Our commitment

Bellamy Sport & Leisure wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or with motion reduced. We treat accessibility as part of the design rather than something added at the end.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are not claiming full conformance. This statement describes what we have done and what we know is still outstanding.

What this site does today

• Body text is set at 17px with generous line height. Small type is reserved for short labels, never for paragraphs.
• Text over photography sits on a navy scrim chosen so the contrast clears AA.
• The menu, the member access panel, the question accordion and the form controls are real buttons. They can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
• Both overlays trap focus while open, close on the Escape key, and return focus to the control that opened them.
• Every control shows a visible focus outline.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Images that are purely decorative are marked so screen readers skip them.
• Entrance animation is suppressed entirely for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion. There is nothing that flashes, loops or moves on its own.
• Touch targets are at least 44 pixels.
• The layout reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

• Some photography is decorative and carries no alternative text by design. Where an image conveys information, that information is also written in the surrounding text.
• Downloadable documents, including the press kit and the keepsake PDF, have not yet been audited for screen reader accessibility.
• Third parties handle checkout, email and the app stores. Their pages follow their own accessibility standards, not ours.
• This site has not yet been reviewed by an independent accessibility auditor.

Telling us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please write to us. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what got in the way. Include the device, browser and any assistive technology you use if you can, though none of that is required.

We aim to reply as quickly as we can and to fix accessibility problems as a priority.

If something on this site is not reachable for you, write to us and we will provide the same information in another format, or complete the task with you directly, at no cost.
